Charleston entertainer and producer Brad Moranz joined former cast members of “Little Shop of Horrors” for a tribute event in New York City on June 27. Moranz played the role of Seymour in the off-Broadway production from 1982 to 1983. “Little Shop of Horrors,” the story of a hapless florist shop worker who raises a plant that feeds on human blood and flesh, eventually made its way to Broadway and was made into a film in 1986.
Actors from all incarnations of “Little Shop of Horrors” – the film, the Broadway musical and more – gathered at Feinstein’s/54 Below, a Broadway supper club
just steps from Times Square. The event drew together personal stories and anecdotes that offered a glimpse into the experience of the comedy rock musical composed by Alan Menken and written by Howard Ashman.
